I hear people say that they won't buy organic food because it is more expensive than non organic food. However, that is only partly true. If you purchase produce that is in season you will get a great price because farmers and mass producing farms do not want their products to go to waste, and the shelf life is shorter for organic products. An easy way to know if produce is in season is to see what produce is on sale! Some people question the importance of organic fruits and vegetables. Organic produce have more antioxidants than produce produced with pesticides since they have to “fight” off disease on their own. This means you are going to digest more nutrition, antioxidants, and less chemicals. Organic cookies or crackers are not worth the money because they are still cookies and crackers! These foods are not nutritious, they are treats. I know personally I’ve noticed huge changes in my body since switching to an all organic and hormone free diet. I actually lost body fat doing this even when I wasn't working out! If you ever feel like you are at a plateau despite eating healthy and exercising, you may consider trying it out for a week or two and see if you don’t notice changes.
